Walking Romeo/Taking Romeo To Go Potty

Use the Gentle Leader. Romeo knows how to slip out of his collar.

To put the Gentle Leader on, make the nose loop with the metal part next to the black plastic part. You may find it easier to put the harness on if you hold his collar while putting it on. Slip the nose loop over his snout:

Then clip the harness in back of ears:

Be sure not to get his fur caught in the clip or his ears in the harness strap. He'll be in pain, and you may notice him whining or panting hard.

If you take him for more than just a potty outing, be sure to take an extra bag just in case. Also, Romeo is skittish around other dogs. Keep the leash short but loose, and tighten up the leash should he start lunging or barking, pulling him into a sit position. You may want to bring treats on the walk to entice him to be more obedient.

When you're done, be sure to put the harness back on the leash hooks on one of the inside hooks so the next person can find it:

I put the Gentle Leader back on the outside hook once, and it got caught in the door.
